Tappezzeria Fiat 600 1^ Serie – Fiat 600 1st Series Upholstery

Con molto piacere postiamo questo lavoro eseguito nel laboratorio artigianale di Elvezio Esposito. Ogni giorno riceviamo richieste di informazioni relative alla Fiat 600,  ecco allora un post mirato a dare tutte le informazioni sugli interni della 1^ serie.  Nelle foto sopra abbiamo fotografato il sedile anteriore da diverse angolazioni. I sedili sono stati interamente restaurati qui da Elvezio. Dal telaio, all’imbottitura, alla tappezzeria, tutto è stato eseguito manualmente e restaurato minuziosamente. La tappezzeria è in tessuto a quadretti blu su sfondo marrone, molto bello e devo dire che risulta molto piacevole l’abbinamento con i pannelli che vedrete nelle foto più avanti.

Di seguito una foto della  sotto seduta del sedile anteriore e di quello posteriore. Come potete notare il sedile è stato perfettamente rimesso a nuovo, rispettando la versione originale dello stesso.

We love Fiat 600 and we have many request of information about this small cute car. Sooooo, here we are posting about the Fiat 600 1st series. Everything you want to know about the interiors of this car you can find it in this post. The seats have been completely restored by Elvezio in his shop in Cosenza from the frame to the upholstery including the cushion. The fabric is definitely vintage in brown and blue pattern. I took pics of the front seat from different angles (see pics above) since I wanted you to give a complete look to them.

In the pictures below you can see the bottom of the front seat and of the rear one. Elvezio and his co-worker did a great job! Look at the details of the canvas and the frame of the seat.

Nella foto sotto potete vedere il sedile posteriore, anche questo decisamente ben rifinito, e un particolare del pannello laterale posteriore già montato sulla macchina.

The rear seat is also very well refined and the color of the fabric fits perfectly the light blue color of the lateral panels as you can see in the pics below.

Una Fiat 600… di generazione in generazione – A Fiat 600… From Generation To Generation

Il nostro V.I.P. di questo mese di Maggio è un giovane appassionato di Fiat 600: Amedeo Scafuro. Elvezio è lieto di averlo come suo V.I.P. perché Amedeo è devoto al mondo delle auto d’epoca tanto da restaurare la vecchia auto del nonno.

Lasciamo che si presenti da solo riportando quello che ci scrive nella sua lunga email:

“Salve, sono Amedeo Scafuro e sono possessore di una Fiat 600 del 1958, una seconda serie a vetri discendenti appartenuta a mio nonno. Dal legame con lui nasce la mia passione per questa macchina e per il restauro delle auto storiche. Nel 1966 mio nonno acquistò una Fiat 600 da un medico di Avellino e la guidò per 24 anni. La stessa auto divenne, per diversi anni, il mezzo di trasporto di mio padre per recarsi a lavoro, fino al giorno in cui non si mise più in moto e rimase per qualche tempo parcheggiata sotto il porticato di casa.”

Amedeo Scafuro is the V.I.P. of this month of May 2011. We are glad to have him in our blog post for several reasons, especially for his great enthusiasm in bringing alive again his grandfather’s Fiat 600. Here is what Amedeo wrote me to introduce himself in his long email: “My name is Amedeo Scafuro and I am the owner of a Fiat 600. My grandpa bought this car in 1966 and drove it for 24 years. After him, my dad used it to drive to work everyday until one day the car did not start anymore. For years the car stayed in front of my house until one day I made the decision to use it again.”

L’avventura di Amedeo con questa auto inizia quando prova a rimetterla in moto e si accorge che c’era un bel lavoro da fare: l’asta della pompa della benzina si era consumata, i freni andavano messi a posto e il motore andava rifatto. Insieme a suo cugino Alfonso, Amedeo riesce nel garage di casa a mettere a posto i freni e a rifare il motore. Occorre poi l’intervento di un carrozziere. Qui entra in gioco il suo amico carrozziere Luca Russo. Con molta pazienza, abilità e soprattutto passione, Luca inizia il lungo restauro durato circa un anno e mezzo.

Amedeo starts to restore the old car from the very beginning: engine, brakes and body car first. It took his friend Luca Russo one year and a half to restore only the body car. After the body car it was time to restore the interiors: upholstery and door panels. Amedeo makes the decision to find a specialist in his city. Unfortunately for Amedeo this guy did not do a good job. So Amedeo calls Elvezio to order the upholstery for his Fiat 600. In the pics below you can see the upholstery in brown and beige color. The door panels in the pics are not like the original and were not produced by Elvezio. Amedeo says that his next purchase at Elvezio’s will be the door panels set. Finita la fase della verniciatura della carrozzeria, inizia la fase del restauro degli interni. Amedeo decide di far rifare la tappezzeria da un tappezziere della zona di Salerno, che purtroppo sbaglia gli abbinamenti. Amedeo ci scrive: “Poiché tempo prima avevo acquistato l’impianto elettrico, montato col mio amico Michele, presso Elvezio Esposito decisi di ricontattarlo per l’acquisto della nuova tappezzeria originale. L’ho montata personalmente senza alcuna difficoltà e potete vederla nelle due foto a sinistra. La tappezzeria calza perfettamente ed è come l’originale.”

I pannelli portiera visibili nelle foto non sono stati acquistati presso Elvezio e non sono come gli originali. Amedeo ci informa che sarà il suo prossimo acquisto! Segue una foto del pannello porta come l’originale, venduto da Elvezio.
