The original carpet set for the Giulietta Sprint Speciale was of wool. Today here at Elvezio’s we produce this carpet set like the original with a very good quality wool carpet. The price is fair, since the number of pieces (17 pcs) and the good quality of the carpet. Giulietta Sprint Moquette Sintetica e in Lana – Wool carpet and Synthetic Carpet

Quite a big number of our customers own a Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint or SS and many of them need to redo their carpet. If you are one of them, then this post is for you too! In the two picture above I compared the two carpets in the same dark red color: the wool carpet and the synthetic one. Both carpets are available for Giulietta Sprint and Giulietta SS. As you can see in the pictures the color is identical, what is changing is the consistence of the carpets and the price obviously! In fact, the synthetic carpet is thinner and the hair of it are shorter than the wool one. Moquette in Lana o Moquette Rekord?

Eh si, proprio una bella domanda! Se stai restaurando la tua auto d’epoca e sei arrivato alla scelta della moquette, di certo ti starai chiedendo quale utilizzare e soprattutto quale è quella che rispetta l’originalità della tua macchina! Ovviamente la risposta varia di macchina in macchina! Il fondo in moquette può infatti essere prodotto il moquette in lana o in quella rekord. La prima cosa da fare è controllare il vecchio tappeto, quello originale che montava la macchina. La seconda cosa è scattare qualche foto e mandarla ad Elvezio! Sotto puoi vedere la foto della moquette in lana nel colore grigio, ben più costosa di quella rekord, ma necessaria per mantenere l’originalità di alcune auto come la A.R. Giulietta Sprint e la Spider e tutte le auto prodotte prima e negli anni ’50 fino ai primi anni ’60.

The classic cars before 1960 had the wool carpet for sure, after the first years of the 60s it’s easy to find also the acrylic carpet on the cars. Today on the market you might find the two options for some cars. Make sure you remember that for some cars wool carpet means originality, for some others “rekord” carpet is the right choice.

La moquette rekord, in tre tonalità nella foto sotto, è prodotta di un materiale acrilico e anche se meno costosa di quella in lana non è da meno in termini di originalità per alcune autovetture d’epoca.
