Qualche giorno fa ci è pervenuta una email dalla Svezia, da parte del nostro cliente, nonché amico, Urban D. La sua emozione e il suo entusiasmo per il ritrovamento di una delle prime Topolino A prodotte, ce lo racconta così: “Ho sempre pensato che fosse impossible trovare, qui in Svezia nel 2019, una Fiat 500 A (Fiat Topolino A) del 1936, invece, è avvenuto un ritrovamento eccezionale! Non poco lontano da casa dei miei genitori, ho trovato una meravigliosa Fiat 500 A del 1936.”
A few days ago we received an email from Sweden. Our client and friend, Urban D., wrote to us a great news! His enthusiasm for finding one of the first produced Fiat Topolino A, has been described by him as follows: “I thought it was impossible in 2019 to find a 1936 Fiat 500 A (Fiat Topolino A) in Sweden. Instead, an exceptional find occurred: I found a wonderful testimony from the past: a 1936 Fiat 500 A. “
“Quando la vidi, mi resi conto che i miei occhi avevano davanti una vettura ben conservata, nel suo stato originale, preservata per tutti gli anni dal 1936 ad oggi. È stata una vera sorpresa per me sapere che l’auto era in vendita. I miei genitori abitavano non troppo lontano dalla casa del proprietario della vettura, uno dei miei amici d’infanzia vive alla porta accanto, tuttavia, prima di quel momento, nessuno di noi aveva mai saputo dell’esistenza di quella vettura d’epoca proprio lì accanto.”
“When I saw that car, I realized that there was a true, perfectly preserved, classic car there, right in front of me. What a barn find! For all years from 1936 to the present, that car was kept in its original state. It was a real surprise for me to know that the car was for sale. My parents lived not too far from the car owner’s house, and one of my childhood friends lives next door, but none of us had known about that vintage car before that moment.”
“La Fiat iniziò la produzione a Torino il 15 giugno 1936. L’ auto fu costruita il 4 agosto 1936, pertanto questa è una delle prime auto prodotte. Ha percorso meno di 20000 km ed è stata conservata al chiuso per tutta la durata della seconda guerra mondiale, dal 1939 al 1945.”
“Fiat started the production of cars in Turinon June 15, 1936. The car was built on August 4 (1936), so this is one of the first producedcars.This car has been driven less than 20,000 km, it has not been recorded and it has been kept indoors for the entire duration of World War II, from 1939 to 1945.”
“Sulla vettura sono stati utilizzati gli stessi tessuti per i sedili, per le portiere e per le fiancatine posteriori (come foto sopra), mentre sul tetto è stato applicato un tessuto diverso. Sia il tessuto del sotto tetto, che quello delle portiere venne incollato direttamente sulla carrozzeria, non presenta un supporto in legno. Sul pavimento, c’è un tappeto spesso e tramato, che termina proprio davanti ai sedili anteriori (vedi foto sotto).”
“On the car has been used the same beige/brown fabric to cover the seats, the doors and rear side panels (see pictures above), while the roof has a different beige fabric. The original fabric has been glued directly on the doors and on the roof, so that there is any wood panel on the door, nor on the roof. There is a beautiful, thick dark brown/beige carpet on the floor, which ends right in front of the seats (see pictures below).”

“Anche le gomme originali Pirelli, sono montate sull’auto, mantengono ancora l’aria e non sono usurate. Le cinque le coppe ruote (inclusa quella della ruota di scorta), realizzate in ottone cromato, sono senza segni o danni. Sono in buone condizioni e completamente utilizzabili. Nessun topo ha attaccato la macchina, ovviamente, i Topolini non rosicchiano una Topolino! La vernice è caduta in alcuni punti, ma non c’è ruggine nè crepe profonde. Non è necessario riverniciare la vettura. Questa Fiat Topolino A del 1936 dovrebbe restare, come è attualmente. Penso che non ci sia, nel mondo, una Fiat 500 A nelle ottime condizioni in cui è questa.
La mia Fiat Topolino A con la carrozzeria di colore blu scuro, pur presentando delle imperfezioni di carrozzeria, è in una condizione originale completamente intatta. La mia idea potrebbe anche non piacere a molti, ma ora che ho trovato la mia Topolino, è in questo stato che voglio mantenerla.Nell’estate 2020 questo Topolino sarà di nuovo in viaggio. Spero di incontrarvi per strada! I migliori saluti, Urban D.”
“Even the original Pirelli tires are mounted on the car, they still keep the air and they are not worn out. The five wheel cups (including that of the spare wheel), made of chrome-plated brass, are without signs nor damage. They are in good condition and completely usable. No mouse has attacked the car, obviously, the Topolinos (little mice) don’t gnaw between friends! The dark blue paint has fallen in some spots. But there is no rust or deep holes, so that, there is no need to paint the car again. This 1936 Fiat Topolino A should be kept as it is currently in its original state. I think there is not a Fiat 500 A in the world in this excellent condition.
Although my dark blue Fiat Topolino A has some body imperfections, is still in an original condition and completely intact. I am sure that many will not like this concept, but now that I have found my Fiat Topolino, it is in this state that I want to keep it. In the summer of 2020 this Fiat Topolino A will be traveling again. I hope to meet you on the street!

Fiat Classic Club Svezia organizes a summer meeting for its members every year. This year, the meeting will take place in two small picturesque towns on the Swedish west coast: Kungalv and Marstrand, about 30 km north of Goteborg. Marstrand is very special, it’s a small town from the 15th century with 1200 inhabitants, located on an island, out in the beautiful archipelago. The town and island are car-free, with narrow streets and old wooden houses. In summer it is the sailor’s mecca.
Il Fiat Classic Club Svezia organizza ogni anno un incontro estivo per i suoi membri. Quest’anno, l’incontro si svolgerà in due piccole città pittoresche, sulla costa occidentale svedese: Kungalv e Marstrand, a circa 30 km a nord di Goteborg. Marstrand è molto speciale, è una piccola città del XV secolo con 1200 abitanti, situata su un’isola, nel bellissimo arcipelago. La città e l’isola sono senza auto, con strade strette e vecchie case di legno. In estate è la mecca dei marinai.
This year, Mr. Urban D. is the organizer of the meeting. He lives a few kilometers from Marstrand. The meeting will take place for three days: from July 26th to 28th, and there will be about 80-90 vintage Fiats and 150 members, which drive there from the whole Sweden and even from Norway. Swedish Fiat Classic Club has a very good relationship with the Norwegian one.
The summer meeting program includes excursions with vintage Fiats. Wherever classic cars stop or park, there is a great interest in them. The Club organizes a Mille Miglia rally for those who go to the summer meeting, with 6 access routes from different part of Sweden.
Usually, there are some cars that have undergone a total restoration, during the winter or several winters. Also, there are Vintage cars which have not been on the roads for maybe 50-80 years. Club Members sell, buy and replace spare parts helping each other.
Quest’anno il raduno è organizzato dal Sig. Urban D. L’incontro si terrà per tre giorni: dal 26 al 28 luglio, e ci saranno circa 80-90 Fiat d’epoca e 150 membri, che partiranno da tutta la Svezia e persino dalla Norvegia. Il Fiat Classic Club svedese ha un ottimo rapporto con quello norvegese.
Il programma del raduno estivo include escursioni con Fiat d’epoca. Ovunque si fermino o parcheggino le auto d’epoca, c’è un grande interesse. Il Club organizza una manifestazione Mille Miglia, con 6 vie di accesso da diverse parti della Svezia per coloro, che si recano all’incontro estivo.
Di solito al raduno, ci sono alcune macchine che hanno subito un restauro totale, durante l’inverno o diversi inverni. Inoltre, ci sono auto d’epoca che sono state ferme per circa 50-80 anni. I membri del club vendono, acquistano e sostituiscono i pezzi di ricambio aiutandosi a vicenda.

Gli appassionati, membri del club, guidano tutti i tipi di Fiat. Nel club ci sono anche membri, che per motivi diversi non hanno auto, ma che tuttavia hanno forte interesse e passione per le auto Fiat.
